RED WIND CASINO

Coho Gaming Lounge

The management at Red Wind Casino wanted to create a one-of-a-kind statement and experience for their most valued guests. After understanding their goals, I-5 created a plan to deliver the Coho High Limit Room - a room catering to VIP guests at the property. A pre-existing lounge area that was no longer producing revenue was transformed into an all-new entertainment atmosphere, complete with baccarat tables, food service, and a dedicated VIP bar.

Project Approach

Existing Space, All-New Venue

To help Red Wind achieve its goals, I-5 leveraged the unique pre-existing aspects of the property to create a destination that increased VIP loyalty. For example, a small stage in the old lounge area became a raised baccarat floor, which is now one of the most exciting and engaging amenities in the new space.

Incorporating Salish artistic motifs into the design was another goal for the Tribe. I-5 worked closely with them to implement custom Salish artwork both above the new bar and in the surrounding areas. This thematic motif was applied in a rich, contrasting red and silver branded color palette throughout the new space, and even on the etched glass that lines the VIP dining area. A new, dedicated restroom for the VIP space adds further appeal, luxury, and convenience for guests, and a host office was also designed so that VIPs can meet and interact with their hosts in a comfortable space.

Efficient Construction, Completed On Schedule

To help meet management’s goal of opening before the 4th of July, an expedited construction schedule was created through clear and consistent communication with the casino management team. From the contract date to the finished venue, this comprehensive renovation (including the design phase, drawing phase, and offsite prefabrication of custom elements) took just 12 weeks.

To meet Red Wind’s aggressive opening goals, I-5 created a large portion of the construction elements offsite, while onsite construction was also taking place. This allowed all construction to be completed in only 6 weeks. The portion of the construction that took place on site was scheduled for off hours so that guests continued to have the best entertainment experience possible, even while the venue was transformed. Through efficient phasing, scheduling, and communication, the casino was able to open right on schedule for the 4th of July holiday.

An Immersive New Venue for Valued Guests

The Coho High Limit Room is an appealing and immersive new venue for Red Wind’s VIP guests. The full bar and dining services offer valued players a 1st class experience and have further bolstered revenues for the casino. Management was thrilled with the 12-week transformation of the pre-existing, under-utilized lounge space into a luxury gaming experience for their guests.
