The goal of the Prairie Knights team was to create the premier fine dining destination in the Dakotas. Each area of the new venue was designed to be unparalleled in its category, offering clients a steakhouse experience typically found only in top locations like Las Vegas.
The project involved converting approximately 2,000 square feet of back-of-house space into a signature steakhouse environment. This transformation required many solutions, such as a new hood system rated for live fire cooking, addressing all MEP requirements for the expanded dining experience, and incorporating a new cocktail lounge.
Location: Fort Yates, North Dakota

I-5's design team collaborated with Prairie Knights to create unique, memorable destinations within Hunters Club. From the initial entrance to the signature bar, and ending in the dining room with private booths and a chef's table, every detail was meticulously planned to create a complete and engaging customer experience.
Having our architecture team available to answer questions and resolve site conflicts saved weeks of construction time. In two cases, a simple video conference eliminated hours of on-site work, making a better project for the client. Consolidating the team responsible for both drawing and on-site construction creates a streamlined process that keeps the client's goals at the forefront.
The signature I-5 Design Build process ensured smooth project implementation. We were able to expedite the entire project and create simple decision points for the client that kept everything moving forward. By controlling the offsite construction of the décor and interior treatments, we accelerated the construction process, resulting in improved outcomes for the casino.
Hunters Club is now recognized as the finest steakhouse experience in North and South Dakota. The client has reported outstanding results from the project, and the entire Tribe takes great pride in this new venue.
