The Marketplace
The Casino Board's objective was to take an underperforming existing buffet and create a central food and beverage outlet that was a destination draw in its own right while providing high quality fast serve food. The design concept included 4 unique dining options in addition to a center bar, which was located near the adjacent gaming floor. Being performed as a design-build project, the schedule to complete this new venue was able to be accelerated mid-project to achieve the customer's desired grand opening date.

Our Approach
Design & Planning
Working with the casino’s food and beverage operations teams, the plan for each venue was developed around maximum operational flexibility, while adhering to branding and development standards provided by the franchises. Each venue facade, side column elements, casework & equipment package, and counters were designed to be built and pre-assembled offsite in order to ensure a smooth onsite installation. From the initial designs, through final construction documents, the project was planned to be performed as quickly as possible onsite, while delivering the best quality for each area of the venue.
Build & Install
As construction was underway, several changes were requested to assist with the casino’s operational needs. These changes were made quickly and efficiently because each member of the team was located under the same roof. Using digital collaboration platforms, field variance or changes could be efficiently communicated and resolved, often within hours of the communication. This allowed the onsite construction of the project and turnover to the client to be achieved 2 weeks ahead of the agreed-upon schedule.
Finished Project
From the open views into the new amenity, to quality food options provided to casino guests, The Marketplace has become a destination draw in its own right. The Tribe and management team at the casino are very happy with their new food and beverage offering and the results that are being created for the property.
