For the second phase of an expansive property-wide remodel, Potawatomi Casino envisioned a massive new Sportsbook venue to rival anything in the country. A large existing space, formerly a multi-level theater, was transformed into the ultimate sports-viewing experience, complete with a 2,100 square foot curving LED screen, an elite broadcast booth, multi-tiered seating and mezzanine for exceptional viewing experiences, and a full-service kitchen and dedicated bar to service the space. The design mixed high-end finishes and architectural lighting, with a world-class AV design, to provide exceptional energy and an unparalleled experience within the greater Midwest region. Additionally, subtle design notes paid homage to the roots of the Potawatomi Nation, including floral motifs used throughout the space.

Our Approach
The initial entry into the Sportsbook is both striking and essential for attracting clients. However, Potawatomi has also emphasized prioritizing the overall client experience within the venue. To achieve this, our design team incorporated tiered seating and a curved LED screen to ensure optimal viewing for every guest. Additionally, food and beverage stations were installed on both the lower and upper levels, along with booth seating areas that offer intimate and private settings for groups.
Upon determining that the existing multi-leveled theater was ideal for the new sportsbook, extensive planning discussions commenced to optimize the space utilization. The decision was made to rotate the theater layout 180 degrees. This ambitious plan positioned the mezzanine at the room's entrance, creating a floor space suitable for tiered seating throughout, and designated the newly opened wall to accommodate a 120-foot wide LED screen.
The outcome is a world-class sports betting experience, featuring one of the largest, highest quality screens in the country, and complimented by an exceptional food & beverage offering to set the venue apart as the premier sports viewing destination.
