Seven Clans Casino
The Red Lake Tribe wanted to update their Seven Clans Casino with new finishes for the gaming floor and an all-new 'Malt Shop' restaurant to better serve their clientele. The casino gaming floor was redesigned around the warm Northwoods lodges found in the area, while the restaurant was transformed into a vintage "Malt Shop" theme. The casino team and Tribe were extremely happy with the results that were created for their location.

Our Approach
DESIGN & PLANNING
A lodge-style theme was developed for the gaming floor, using a color palette of coppers, red, and midnight sky blue. In the center of the gaming floor, a massive, internally illuminated octagonal ceiling feature was set in a medallion and created a focal point in the space. Custom internally illuminated chandeliers, two-toned birch tree mural bands with accompanying wood trim and accent lighting worked with the new river rock columns, and wood finish wall coverings to create the 'Great Lodge' feel.
The new Malt Shop was designed to incorporate the classic 1950's design style into an all-new venue. Classic car bodies were converted into signature sofas, a vintage jukebox, and a “gas can” gumball machine all add to the historic theme within the restaurant. Custom printed artwork and menu boards, sit behind the new curved front counter and create a welcoming first impression.
BUILD & INSTALL
All of the specialty décor, lighting, and signage elements were constructed off-site in I-5’s production facility. Collaboration between the project manager and site superintendent ensured the most efficient renovation project onsite and accelerated the original schedule.
The existing location had a very dated look with white walls, faded carpet, and bright white lighting. The overall environment lacked warmth and excitement. As the new design plan was executed and decor elements were installed, the casino started to become the welcoming destination that the Red Lake Tribe had envisioned. Each phase included a floor to ceiling transformation which set the backdrop for the custom decorative and lighting elements.
While each area of the gaming floor was being upgraded, specialty partitions were put up to hide the construction and maintain a clean environment, enabling patrons to continue gaming throughout the entire project.
FINISHED PROJECT
With exciting new energy and ambiance, Seven Clans casino has enjoyed increased customer counts and revenues. The comprehensive on-site renovations were completed in just three months.
