Northern Quest is an iconic entertainment destination located in the eastern Washington state area. Management at this resort-style property was ready to add a sportsbook to their venue to further provide customers with a luxury entertainment experience. I-5 designed a plan that would inject greater life and energy into the sportsbook and adjacent gaming floor, creating another unique customer draw for this world-class resort.

Our Approach
Dramatically New Entertainment Option
Working closely with the Northern Quest team, an all-new amenity was created from under-utilized space in the casino. This square footage was eventually transformed into a premium bar and sports betting area so that customers can now enjoy a completely new entertainment experience. To incorporate the bar and sports book into the gaming floor, a plan was developed that took advantage of the building's existing bones and maximized the customer-facing impact of the venue. The all-new Turf Club has now become a signature entertainment area for guests and a new source of revenue for the casino.
Comprehensive Renovation, Exponential Time Savings
For this project, an overall strategy was implemented to build 75% of the project offsite, providing exponential time savings for the client. This comprehensive renovation enjoyed an expedited timeframe resulting from this strategy. While demolition took place onsite, upgrades were efficiently being constructed offsite. This not only saved time, but also allowed North Quest’s finishes, paint, and other custom design materials to come together in a controlled offsite environment adding to the visual impact and quality of the project.
The result of this approach is exceptional fit, finish, and overall quality above the typical standards for onsite construction. Significant offsite construction also meant that even though the project was adjacent to the gaming floor, Northern Quest guests experienced no disruption to business allowing them to thoroughly enjoy their experience as the transformation took place.
The Turf Club Sports Book has been extremely popular at Northern Quest Casino and allows them to attract a wider sporting audience in the Spokane market, while also adding value for existing guests. This exciting and high-impact destination creates another excellent destination within the resort and has seen record crowds for major sporting events. The Casino and Tribe have reported outstanding results from this comprehensive design-build project.
